Caco-2 Cell Kits

CacoReady, gold standard for intestinal permeability

24 or 96 transwell insert plates seeded with 21 days differentiated and polarized Caco-2 cells. This cell model is considered to be the gold standard for assessing intestinal permeability of new oral drugs in in vitro preclinical studies, according to leading regulatory agencies.

We recommend acquiring this product together with the CacoReady Cell Culture Medium to ensure optimal performance and reproducibility.

CacoGoblet, a secreting mucus intestinal barrier

24 transwell insert plates seeded with 21 days differentiated and polarized Caco-2 and HT-29 cells with an absorptive and mucus-secreting phenotype, respectively. This co-culture model enables the evaluation of anti-inflammatory drug efficacy by assessing cellular responses to inflammatory mediators. Additionally, its physiologically relevant barrier allows for studying in intestinal absorption of drug candidates.

We recommend acquiring this product together with the CacoGoblet Cell Culture Medium to ensure optimal performance and reproducibility.

MDCKII Cell Kits

PreadyPortWT, a control model for passive and active diffusion

24 and 96 transwell insert plates cultured with the 12 days differentiated MDCKII parental cell line. A reference in vitro model to evaluate passive permeation of orally administered drugs. It also serves as the control for PreadyPort MDR1 and PreadyPort BCRP, enabling the assessment of drug transport by comparing results with these efflux transporter models.

24 or 96 transwell insert plates cultured with 12 days differentiated MDR1-overexpressing MDCKII cells. The MDR1 efflux transporter has an ubiquitous tissue distribution, with a critical role in intestinal absorption, biliary and urinary excretion of drugs and in the entry of active molecules into the central nervous system.

BCRP, an ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter protein

24 or 96 transwell insert plates cultured with 12 days differentiated BCRP-overexpressing MDCKII cells. BCRP is a high-capacity efflux transporter with broad substrate specificity. It is located in the apical cell membrane of barrier tissues and excretory organs.
